Mario Alfaro

Mario Alfaro is a Shareholder in the firm’s litigation practice group. He assists clients with all aspects of litigation, including pre-litigation preparation, business disputes, commercial disputes, protecting trade secrets, property disputes, employment law, real estate, corporate matters, complex litigation and appeals in both Federal and State court. His ability to find creative and pragmatic solutions to complex client problems has helped him obtain successful trial results and settlements in multi-million dollar cases. He has successfully defended banks against frivolous foreclosure-related cases, represented large developers in contract disputes, and advised clients during complex real estate negotiations.  He regularly represents contractors, developers, real estate agents and brokers, along with local businesses.

• Chaired a successful Federal jury trial on behalf of a landlord recovering millions in a dispute with a multinational corporation and chaired the subsequent appeal where the jury verdict was upheld in its entirety.
• Chaired on a RICO defense action involving some of the largest insurance fraud allegations ever in California.
• Chaired a trial for an advertising company, successfully recovering damages for the removal of a billboard.
• Successfully argued before the California Court of Appeal to defend the damages award on behalf of a large billboard company.
